General Conditions

 How to shop on board

Space on board is limited, therefore, the item of your choice may not be available on your flight. Moreover, we may occasionally be unable to satisfy all your requests due to safety requirements or insufficient flight time. We apologize in advance if we are unable to satisfy your request.

The savings made when you purchase a duty-free product on board are calculated according to average current prices in France.

 Payment

Currencies accepted (only notes accepted for other currency than Euros): euro, Canadian dollar, pound sterling, US dollar, yen, CFP franc and Swiss franc. La Boutique also accepts traveller’s cheques in authorized currencies, and cheques in euros cleared in France.

Authorized limit for credit card payment:

  •    JCB: 750 euros
  •    Visa and Mastercards with microchip: 500 euros
  •    Visa/Mastercard/Diners Club with magnetic strip: 300 euros

 

For magnetic strip card payments over 150 Euros, a valid passport must be shown to the cabin crew. 

Customs information:

On your return to France, any goods carried in your baggage are not subject to customs duties as long as their value does not exceed the following limits:

      Tobaccos (passengers aged 17 and above only) : Cigarettes 200

  • travellers aged 15 and above: 430 euros.
  • travellers aged under 15: 90 euros.

 All items with a value exceeding the mentioned limits must be declared, and customs duties and taxes paid in full.

If you don’t have a connecting flight:

You can purchase all the duty-free items you want on board within customs limitations.

If you are connecting with another flight:

  •  if you are able to collect your baggage at the connection point, you must transfer any perfumes or cosmetics purchased on board to your checked luggage.
  •  if you need to check through to your final destination, on-board purchases will be handed over to you by cabin crew in a sealed bag together with an invoice proving that the purchase was made on board the flight. This bag must remain sealed until you arrive at your final destination (procedure not applicable to the US and Japan).
  •  if you have a transfer in the US or Japan, your duty-free purchases of gels, liquids, perfumes and cosmetics will be confiscated including those contained in a sealed bag inside your hand luggage.

Ecoparticipation tax:

An ecoparticipation tax is now levied on certain products sold on board. This tax covers the cost of having your old equipment taken away, reused and recycled.

Guarantee:

Items purchased on board are guaranteed for one year as from the date of purchase. If you notice a manufacturing fault, a defect or a malfunction due to the manufacturer, you can return the item to the customer service department in its original packaging and accompanied by the invoice. For more information, please contact the customer service department for duty free purchase.
